Black Widow Generated $60 Million From Premier Access Says Disney

Lately, Disney has informed us that the Black Widow movie has made over 60 million dollars in the first weekend itself. Post-COVID, this is the first movie from Marvel Studios that has been released in Disney+ for premier access.

It served as an origin story for the character played by Scarlett Johansson. The movie also aids in the advent of the theatrical part of Phase 4. Moreover, this is the first film that has been opened simultaneously on the Disney+ streaming application.

Black Widow gets a huge opening

The movie was released globally on Friday and looked great on closing on the recovery from the box office collection. Ever since the Disney+ platform opened up, movies like Luca, Soul and Hamilton gained traction.

The platform has also created a specific Premier access scheme. This can allow them to launch movies in the theatre and on this platform itself.  This can improve box office outcomes.

The movie Black Widow was released on Friday, and today Disney informed us that the movie was a successful one. The movie drew around 215 million dollars.

Out of the total, 80 million dollars were collected from the domestic box office. 78 million dollars were made from the international box office. The remaining amount was more than 60 million dollars which were raised from the Disney+ platform. This has made the movie one of the highest-selling films since the pandemic.

The release is a huge success

Black Widow is the third movie launched after Mulan and the animated classic Raya and the Last Dragon. This news revelation has shown that there are still many people who are willing to pay a premium amount. Most of them want to enjoy the streaming of new launches from the comfort of their homes.

The continuation of the MCU might have influenced the success of the movie in Disney+ on the same platform. For example, WandaVision, Loki, and Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The final scene of the movie Black Widow was also aligned to give a glimpse of the Hawkeye series.
