A trip to Orlando might generate horns of a dilemma in your mind. You have both options of enjoying Disney theme parks as well as visiting Universal Studios. Here is our article to help you understand the merits and demerits of both discussed through Universal Studios vs Disney World!

How far is Universal Studios from Disney World?

At first, let’s see, how far is Universal Studios from Disney World?

If you exit 75A by taking the I-4E, you will have to travel around 9 miles to come to Universal Studios. Also, the driveway itself has many restaurants and other amenities, which you can very well enjoy on your route to Universal Studios.

Entertainment and activities

Once we know about the routes, now is the time to understand which is the aptest for entertainment purposes. There is a special event in Disney World that requires a ticket. The event is titled Mickey’s Very Merriest After Hours.

However, the balloon parade of Macy organized by Universal Studios has more fan following. While character cavalcades are the best call of Disney World, you will get to visit the holiday parade if you pay for its tickets.

The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular, as the name suggests, is a spectacular event organized by Universal Studios. Here, the visitors do not have to buy any extra tickets.

This year, Disney World is hosting a lot of fun activities. Also, EPCOT offers candlelight processional and scavenger hunts which are the main attractions of Disney festivals these days.

Decorations

One of the most attractive halts in Disney world is its parks. Four main theme parks highlight Disney World. Its Hollywood studios ooze out a glittery holiday decoration, while a more subtle decoration is found at Animal Kingdom. The world Showcase of EPCOT has ornaments representing each country. Classic holiday ornamentations decorate the Magic Kingdom.

However, Universal Studio doesn’t excel this much in decorations. The decorations of Hogwarts, Tribute Store having a Christmas theme, or Seuss Landing are present, but they are no match to Disney World.

So, this is a significant point of discussion in Universal Studios vs Disney World debates.

Even if every year, the characters put on their holiday costume. But, as this year marks the 50th Anniversary, it is improbable that they will replace the EARidiscent outfits with the regular holiday outfits.

The audience gets to meet Grinch in Universal Studios, who delivers a fabulous interaction experience. Also, you will get to meet Whos in Whoville and others. These characters will boost your holiday spirit to a whole new level.

Universal Studios vs Disney World prices

Another comparison that most of the visitors tend to make is Universal Studios vs Disney World prices.

None of the two places are cheap. However, Universal Studios sometimes give out some holiday discounts. But, that is next to impossible when it comes to Disney World. Thus, if you want a budget yet beautiful experience, then Universal Studios is your best call.

Final Thoughts

So, finally, in the Universal Studios vs Disney World debate, Disney world no doubt wins, but universal studios is a cheaper experience. So, if you have figured out your budget, pick any one side of the coin.
