Have you planned a Disney World trip anytime during February? Then we have something exciting for you. Disney World will celebrate Black History Month throughout February with Celebrate Soulfully.

Black History Month previously originated in the USA and is celebrated every year. Therefore, those who have been a part of the celebration in the previous years know how incredibly grand it is.

This special event takes inspiration from Black music, art, history, and culture for the people who are not aware.

The celebration has included a lot of food and art and hands down exceptionally amazing entertainment in all the previous years. This year will be no less than the previous ones as per sources.

Treats to expect in Black History Month

This event will be loaded with lots of entertainment and lip-smacking treats. Some of the treats to look out for are:

  • Coffee Pot Gelato
  • Half-Note Float
  • Soulfully Sweet Praline

Is art something that inspires you and is of your interest? Then the event known as Art of Disney is surely going to be something that you like. This event held at Disney Springs would celebrate some noted Black creators. There would be a variety of events that would be held for the same.

Celebration of art

Some of the Disney legend’s art that would be celebrated here throughout the month are:

  • Floyd Norman- Sleeping Beauty, Monsters, and Toy Story 2, amongst others.
  • Marlon West- The Princess and the Frog and Moana, amongst others.
  • Bruce W. Smith- The Proud Family and The Princess and the Frog, amongst others.

If you get lucky, you will also meet the famous painter and artist Timothy Adebule. Well, the chances are huge considering that he would be here on almost all dates from 1 PM to 10 PM.

Timothy Adebule has Three Masks Art Gallery and Event Center for those who are not very aware. These are located in Florida and Orlando. These feature drum classes, music, paintings, and poetry, amongst many others. These centers run with the motto ‘Sharing Africa from within.’

Apart from this, several artists would perform jazz, R & B, pop, and Motown in Disney Springs. If you do not want to miss out on the fun, you will surely check these out.

You can also choose to visit EPCOT to watch The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure exhibit. This will certainly be of your interest if you like the movie Soul. This is because The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure is an adaptation of the movie.
