However, a new announcement from Disney World has introduced a change in the same. Henceforth, you can purchase the Genie+ only if you purchased a multi-day park ticket. The point that you can avail all the features of the Genie+ only after and on the first day of when you have booked your tickets remains the same.
That essentially means that if you are purchasing a single-day park ticket, you would not be able to get yourself a Genie+ in advance. In this case, you would have to wait to purchase the same until the day you visit the park.

Disney Genie

How to purchase a Geni + on the day of your visit?
You can get yourself a Genie + through the My Disney Experience App on the very same day of your visit. This can be issued by any Annual Passholder or any Disney World guest to be used for a single day.
