As the trip requires a lot of research and planning, you should keep this information beforehand. That way, it will be easier for you to decide which attractions to keep on your list and which to discard.

Why are height requirements important?

Before jumping directly into Disney World height requirements, let’s first try to understand why it is necessary to keep these height bars?

If someone wants to answer this in one word, it will be SAFETY. Disney World is very particular about the safety of its guests.

So, one way to do this right is to prohibit kids from going to attractions that are not safe for them.

Some rides in Disney World can turn upside down, which is very fast and hence naturally requires extra measures for the safety of the guests.

Even though the rides have undergone several tests and measurements, it is still not permissible for kids under a certain height.

Thus, if your kid is not tall enough, as per the ride requirement, they might harm themselves.

So, you should know all the rules and follow them minutely, so your kid doesn’t get hurt. Disney World height requirements are a must thing to follow.

You cannot evade the eyes of the cast members who stand near every ride. If your child doesn’t look tall enough, they will stop you and measure their height before letting them ride on it.

Even if it looks atrocious at the surface, you might argue that you have paid the price and no one can stop you from riding it.

But, this is for your child’s safety. Instead of getting angry with the cast members, we guide you to read Disney World height requirements beforehand to avoid these problems.

Another thing you should know about height requirements is that they also include shoes while measuring the height.

Also, your child will not get any stamps or wristbands. They will have to get themselves measured at every attraction.

Apart from the ride line, height measurements also take place near the loading area. Here, another member will cross-check your child’s height. If they have the required minimum height, they can join the attraction.

For example, Space Mountain can give you a much more cramped feeling than others. The coasters are also not that spacious. So, you might have to squeeze to fit.

You might even duck down on these rides. Because when it passes through dark tunnels and you have no idea how far your head is from the metal supports, you might duck down in reflex.
